The Orlando Convention Center, known as the Center of Hospitality, boasts over 2 million square feet of exhibit space!

Furnished by the Orlando Convention Center, here are Five Facts To Know:

  1. We are the second largest convention facility in the United States.

With two buildings, our total square footage is 7 million, including 2.1 million square feet of exhibition space. The flexibility of our spaces can accommodate any number of audiences and sizes. Pro tip: If visiting, be sure to wear your walking shoes and charge your fitness wristbands.

  1. There is a rooftop solar array on the North/South Building.

The size of four football fields, this solar array of 6,000 panels is one of five different renewable energy technologies we have on our campus. Our solar projects produce 1.5 GWh of renewable energy annually, the equivalent of over 100 Florida homes worth of annual electricity consumption. Solar panels are one of the many ways we maintain a sustainable and successful facility with innovative, technology-focused partnerships.

  1. This past fiscal year brought in a total economic impact of $2.4 billion.

Economic impact by events held at our facility is measured by total direct and indirect spending in Central Florida. With more than 200 events last fiscal year, over 25,600 jobs and 1,000 businesses were positively affected by our event activity.

  1. Our campus features hundreds of public art pieces.

Owned and operated by the Orange County Government, our campus showcases hundreds of artists and displays various mediums of public art. Ranging from sculptures and paintings to canvases and murals, there is a wide variety for all art enthusiasts. Don’t forget to look up when walking to your event, you may just find your favorite piece.
