Did you know there is a formula for choosing the correct TV?
Are you projecting a message in the hopes of attracting potential customers to your display? Or, do you want to present your message to potential customers after they have entered into your booth space? When choosing a Flat screen TV, use the following guidelines:
To project your image:
- 6 – 10 feet 32" -37" Flat panels
- 10 – 14 feet 42"
- 12 – 16 feet 50"
- 15' or more 60"
Now you have some of the important information you need to obtain the right flat panel television for your application.
Audio
When it comes to audio, louder is not always better or effective. The human ear receives and interprets sound waves. Higher quality sound waves can be clearly heard and interpreted at lower volumes what the large, boxy "PA" systems require increased volume to be clearly understood at short distance. Do you want your presentation to sound like Charlie Brown's teacher, or like the New York Philharmonic? The answer lies in the sound system.
A good audio system is more effective in allowing your message to be broadcast at a lower volume and be even more effective within in your display area.

FAQs
How do I know what size monitor I need? – As a general rule of thumb, 32" monitors are use for up close presentation to small groups. For viewing distances of 6 -12 feet consider a 42". For distances 10'- 14' a 50" should suffice and for distance greater than 14' feet use a 60" or 65" TV
720 or 1080? Not to bore anyone, but, there really is a difference. Given the completion for visual. Lighting etc, you should really choose the best available Plasma or LCD for your budget. To make this choice, first you need to understand the technical aspect. 720, 1080, I & P are not just arbitrary numbers, they represent the resolution and presentation style of the unit.
In the olden days ( before 2003) television had 360 lines of resolution. Basically, the picture was made up of 360 lines. When High Definition Plasma TV monitors came on the market the added another 360 lines of resolution and interlaced them making a total of 720 lines of resolution. This became known as the 720i. As technology progressed, rather than interlace these lines, they began to run the progressively or 720p. Add another 360 lines of resolution and the total resolution becomes 1080. The same interlace versus progressive rules apply.
So, what does this mean...
In my personal opinion:
- 720i is the lowest quality HDTV
- 1080i is next
- 720p is better than 1080i
- 1080p is the best screen resolution available in todays Plasma TV/LCD TV market.
Note: 1080p should always be used for optimum performance from a Blu-Ray DVD Player.
